Assistant Principal Message

Dear Students and Parents:

Welcome to the Choir Academy of Harlem web site! My name is Geisa Cabrera and I am now in my third year as the Assistant Principal of Organization at Choir Academy of Harlem. I must say that working at Choir Academy has been a learning experience for me. My favorite part of being an Assistant Principal is spending time with the students. Everyday, I look forward to seeing their smiling faces and hearing their laughter that fills the hallways. It brings me great satisfaction and joy to say that the administrative staff and our faculty are very dedicated and passionate about the job of educating children. I feel very much at home at Choir Academy of Harlem and I look forward to working with the parents, students, staff and the rest of the Choir Academy community in the next years to come.

As the Assistant Principal of Organization, my office is responsible for the budget, programming, report cards/transcripts, personnel, attendance, discipline, etc, etc. Our goal is to create a disciplined yet engaging learning environment for all Choir Academy of Harlem students, where they can succeed and develop into responsible young adults. To help students achieve their goals and to keep them on the right path, we believe that it is of the utmost importance to maintain an open relationship between our office and our parents.  We try our best to communicate daily with parents when necessary, and we encourage and welcome parents to contact us when they have questions or concerns.  I look forward to working closely with you to provide our students with the finest educational and nurturing middle/high school experience possible. If I can be of assistance to you, please contact me at (212) 289-6227 ext 326.

Sincerely,
Geisa Cabrera, APO
